Le Creuset 90th Anniversary
This is cool!
Le Creuset is celebrating its 90th anniversary this month, and The Guardian published a set of photos of the factory process. You can see how that beautiful, perfect pan you cook with was turned from raw ore, into molten lava, and then into a pot!
And I would like to draw your attention to all the colors they make that you’d have to travel all over the world to collect:
It’s not fair, I tell you!
If you want to celebrate, too, and you love Volcanic (the UK name for “Flame,” which is a much better translation of the French word “Volcanique,” so I refuse to use the dumbed-down American version), AND you have several hundred dollars lying around, you can get in on the party with the 90th Anniversary Collection. Well, I guess you can get the petite cocotte for about $40, but again, you have to want Volcanic.
